Inspection
& Testing.
Before any work begins — or if you just need peace of mind — we coordinate full asbestos inspections, bulk sampling, and air quality testing through certified third-party monitors and ALLAB lab analysis.
Why Test First
You cannot see asbestos with the naked eye. A popcorn ceiling, a floor tile, a pipe wrap — they all look the same whether they contain asbestos or not. The only way to know for sure is to send a sample to a certified lab.
Before any renovation, demolition, or major repair on a building built before 1990, testing is not optional — it is the law in New York. Skipping it puts your workers, your tenants, and your project in legal and physical danger.
How We Test
- 01
Site Walkthrough
We inspect the building visually and identify every material we suspect may contain asbestos — ceilings, floors, pipes, ductwork, plaster, and more.
- 02
Bulk Sampling
Small, carefully controlled samples are taken from each suspect material and sealed in labeled containers for lab analysis.
- 03
Third-Party Lab Analysis
Samples go to ALLAB — one of the most trusted asbestos labs in the region — for Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) analysis.
- 04
Air Monitoring
For active projects, a certified third-party air monitor tests the air before, during, and after the work using PCM or TEM methods.
- 05
Written Report
You receive a clear, documented report identifying what is present, where, and what to do next.
Independent Air Monitoring
All of our removal projects use a third-party air monitor. That means the person testing the air during and after our work has no financial stake in the outcome — they are not on our payroll.
This is the industry standard, but not every contractor follows it. We do, because the documentation protects you as the property owner, and because it is the right way to run the job.
